By Registering Your Diamond, and/or Updating Your Registration, and/or Reporting Your Diamond Lost/Stolen to Gemprint Corp ("Gemprint" or "we") for the Gemprint® Registry, you attest to being the rightful owner of the registered property. You agree that, in the event of loss, theft or allegation of fraud in respect to the registered property, Gemprint Corp. may disclose information you provide to third parties such as law enforcement and insurance agencies for the purpose of assisting in the recovery of the owner’s registered property.
When Gemprint is notified of a Lost/Stolen diamond, we will inform the proper industry organizations of the loss and will monitor all diamonds processed by Gemprint for potential matches. If a Lost/Stolen diamond is recovered, the last person to Register the Diamond will be contacted and asked to provide proof of ownership, in the form of a detailed sales receipt, insurance policy, or similar documentation, before proceeding. Submitting information to Gemprint and for the purpose of Registering Your Diamond, and/or Updating Your Registration, and/or Reporting Your Diamond Lost or Stolen does not provide proof of ownership. A detail history of the Gemprint® Registry database and any information you provide will be provided to third parties such as law enforcement and insurance agencies for the purpose of proving ownership of the registered property.
Gemprint Corp ("Gemprint" or "we") has created this privacy statement for the Gemprint® Registry in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering, use and dissemination practices for this website. Please take a moment to review the terms of this privacy statement. By using this website, you agree to accept the terms of our privacy statement. If you do not agree to the terms of our privacy statement, please do not use this website. Unless stated otherwise, this privacy statement applies only to information collected on this website and with respect to the services offered on this website and does not apply to information that we may collect by other means.
In order to Register Your Diamond, and/or Update Your Registration, and/or Report Your Diamond Lost or Stolen, you are required to provide personal contact information such as your name, e-mail address, mailing address, phone number, date or loss, location of loss, and name of the law enforcement and/or insurance agency to which you reported you diamond lost or stolen. Gemprint may keep a record of information regarding your registered property for an indefinite period of time, in Gemprint’s sole discretion.
In addition, we may send you periodic communications by e-mail or regular mail if you do not opt out of receiving them. For example, we may provide you with special offers or information on our products or services. If you wish to opt out of receiving communications from us at any time, we give users the following options for doing so:
Please note that if you opt-out of receiving marketing and promotional offers from us by e-mail, we may still contact you by e-mail to provide the services you request, to respond to your inquiries and/or with other transactional correspondence.
Please note that we will not share your personal information (whether collected online or offline) with any third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
We may sometimes use other businesses to perform certain services for us, such as processing orders and delivering our products, sending postal mail and providing marketing assistance and data analysis. We may provide personal information to those businesses when that information is necessary for them to complete a requested transaction or otherwise perform their duties.
We (or one of our affiliated entities) may buy other businesses or their assets or sell our business or assets. Customer information is generally one of the business assets involved in such transactions. Thus, in the event that Gemprint or one of its affiliated entities, or all of their respective assets, are acquired, customer information would be one of the transferred assets.
Finally, we reserve the right to disclose visitor information in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing this information is necessary to identify, contact or bring legal action against someone who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other visitors, or anyone else that could be harmed by such activities. This includes our right to exchange information with other organizations in order to protect against fraud and to reduce credit risk.
